Winner: GOOD TO MEET YOU, 2000 grey colt by Safari x Pleasure Is Mine, Phoenix
Owner/Trainer: Elizabeth Knoll Bred by Caballos del Sol, CA

GOOD TO MEET YOU broke quick to take unlikely pace, led pack through backstretch but looked to falter around turn, found another gear and held off all challenges for game wtw win today. Favorite THREE KINGS stalked professionally, moved up to challenge around turn, couldn't go with winner's late move. NOWILAYMEDNTOSLEEP stalked well and challenged repeatedly early, held strong late but couldn't advance. ENDY-VIVE broke a bit slow today and trailed early, really moving late but not in time. LEVANTE came out strong to press the early pace, tired down stretch and fell back.

Steward’s notes: Mountainside was pleased to host today's G1 IOR Suburban Handicap which drew a small but talented field including last year's Gallery Horse of the Year! Despite setting an uncharacteristic pace, Good To Meet You held tough and proved himself a game competitor in this tough pack to hold off all despite multiple challenges to his lead. Three Kings ran his typical perfect stalking race and looked to move up and take it again today -- simply wasn't his day. In just his second effort against older competition (his first being a game 2nd in last month's Brooklyn), Nowilaymedntosleep continues to impress with another strong effort today -- he'll be one to reckon with as he matures! Endy-Vive's bad luck continues as he breaks slow today (maybe a bit gate shy?) after his rough stumble at the gate in last month's Brooklyn. Levante was right there in the early mix but simply couldn't hold for the full 1-1/4m today. Thanks to everyone for the chance to host your talented horses!
