Accomplishments: Desert Stand ran in the Model Racing Forum realistic racing group from 2000 through 2004, ages two through five years, and earned a race record of 24 (2 3 4 2) $188,900 MSpw/CH. He was a winner at 1-1/8m and 1-3/16m and placed in three stakes races (2nd: IOR Sir Barton Stakes 8.5f, 2002 Greenwood; 3rd: Jack Frost Stakes 1-1/4m, 2002 Rainbow Downs and Hidden Staircase Stakes 1-1/4m, 2003 Rainbow Downs). He also claimed the Champion 3yo Colt/Gelding title in 2002 at Rainbow Downs. Despite his championship, we think he'd be better used a sport horse sire in our non-racing program though we may breed him to a few of our own mares for use on the MRF tracks. Future show plans are still pending (he might get a "body" or could show in the paper ponies group) but he should also prove himself as a fine sport horse sire.
